Hiking

There are many trails for hiking, some of them starting at our front door. You can choose from a range of distances and difficulties. We can advise on many trails and have detailed hiking maps available.

The track to the close-by Castillo de Juliana, dating back to the 12th century is a good start to get used to the altitude. Another good starting trail is from Inglés to Cadíar, through the Guadalfeo river valley. After a drink and a tapa in Cadíar you can climb back to Cortijo del Inglés.

Horse riding

There are many horse owners in the Alpujarras who enjoy taking you out for a ride to show you the beautiful surroundings. A classic is a ride during the almond blossom season early spring, when the air smells of blossom.

Cycling

For cyclists the Alpujarras is paradise. The road network is brand new, the amount of traffic is negligible and there is always a village with a bar close by for a drink and some food. Apart from more relaxing routes, there are many tough climbing routes that go up to 2000m (Puerto de la Ragua). There are also opportunities for off-road mountain biking also, even tracks that go over the top of Mulhacén at over 3400m!
